A cultural bridge between Italy and Ukraine

Last week, The FFUN SDG met the representatives of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine. Mr Edoardo Crisafulli, Director of the Italian Institute of Culture in Kyiv, took part in the meeting, too.

Mr Kostiantyn Cherniavskyi, President of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine, talked about its association: “We are an all-Ukrainian public creative organization of professional artists and art critics. Established in 1938, the Union's structure includes 33 regional and territorial organizations. From painters to graphic designers, from sculptures to actors, we have 4.500 members.

The main goals of the Union are to ensure freedom of creativity, promote professional growth and social protection of its members, as well as enhance the artistic environment”.

Together with Mr Crisafulli, we visited their headquarters in Kyiv as well as venues suitable to host exhibitions of intercultural exchange between Italy and Ukraine. The year 2022 is the 30th anniversary of the diplomatic relations between these two countries, indeed.
