Ivano-Frankivsk region has joined the Cultural Route of the Council of Europe "European Path of Ceramics". The Assembly of the European Path of Ceramics officially approved the admission of National Museum of Hutsulshchyna and Pokuttia Folk Art named by J. Kobrynskyi in Kolomyia as a new route partner. From now on, the traditions and heritage of Kosiv painted ceramics will become part of the pan-European cultural heritage.
The route connects Germany, Spain, France, Italy, the Netherlands, Portugal, Great Britain, and Turkey. In addition, from now on Ukraine too.
The joining of Ivano-Frankivsk region to the cultural route proceeded thanks to active communication support of the President of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals Foundation, Maurizio Aronica. The cooperation of the Ivano-Frankivsk Regional State Administration with Mr. Aronica began in summer 2021, when he had visited Prykarpattia during a working visit aimed helping our region join the Sustainable Development Goals projects.
During today's online meeting, I thanked Mr. Aronica for his significant personal contribution to the integration of Carpathian culture into the pan-European region and popularization of the ethno-cultural and tourism heritage of Ivano-Frankivsk region.
The entry of Ukraine, in particular, Ivano-Frankivsk region, into the fourth European cultural route will provide us with more international recognition, funding, contacts with European colleagues, meetings with the Council of Europe, and the opportunity to participate in trainings and seminars.
I congratulate Prykarpattia on such an important event. No war can destroy this cultural value!
